mCLASS®:Reading 3D™ is an innovative approach to literacy for K-3 students that balances the assessment of Foundational Skills with Text and Reading Comprehension (TRC) diagnostics, giving a complete picture of a student's reading development.

The mCLASS:Reading 3D solution is the only validated, research-based assessment that combines quick indications of early skill development with deep observations of students' interactions with authentic texts.
This solution integrates the predictive power of the DIBELS® assessment and the diagnostic strength of TRC. Its Progress Monitoring feature allows teachers to guide students to reading success between benchmarks.
mCLASS: Reading 3D in Action
Steps provided on the handheld device help teachers administer appropriate Foundation Skill and TRC assessments and determine the instructional reading level for each student.
Teachers can track responses by tapping on the handheld device. This eliminates the labor-intensive process of administering the DIBELS and TRC assessments in the traditional paper-and-pencil manner and ensures consistency across classrooms.
After syncing the handheld device, teachers can view Web-based analysis of their students' data at www.mclasshome.com.
On the Web, teachers receive tools for planning differentiated instruction, while administrators can track progress, review program effectiveness, and determine which resources and strategies improve student performance.

mCLASS:Reading 3D was developed through a unique collaboration with the DIBELS authors Dr. Roland Good III and Dr. Ruth Kaminski of the University of Oregon, the Dynamic Measurement Group, and the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) in Maryland. DIBELS, when paired with a Text Reading and Comprehension measure (which was evaluated by MCPS Office of Shared Accountability) showed a successful impact on instruction as well as its internal and external predictive validity.
