For students reading below benchmark, teachers use DIBELS measures to track progress toward key goals and gauge response to interventions. The graph on the handheld shown at the right allows teachers to see a student's growth trajectory in Initial Sound Fluency at a glance, and to know immediately when he or she is not responding to interventions and new instructional strategies are necessary. The progress monitoring graph on the handheld is available for all DIBELS measures.

Students reading at or above benchmark are monitored using the ELD TRC measure with leveled readers from the mCLASS:Reading Literacy Library. Teachers administer the TRC to collect a variety of reading and comprehension information that they can use to help these students become even better readers. The mCLASS:Reading Literacy Library features more than 4,000 leveled readers, including 500+ in Spanish.
