OverviewThe most widely selected K-6 research-based literacy assessment on the mCLASS® handheld technology platform, DIBELS® and its Spanish counterpart, IDEL™, help educators drive student achievement as never before. There’s no more important predictor of future performance in school than early reading. Based on the highly regarded DIBELS and IDEL assessments, our solutions provide essential data analysis, reporting, and instructional planning tools for early reading, streamlining testing to make it easier, faster, and more accurate. mCLASS®:DIBELS® and mCLASS®:IDEL™ were developed in partnership with DIBELS authors Dr. Roland Good and Dr. Ruth Kaminski. mCLASS:DIBELS and mCLASS:IDEL in ActionTeachers use mCLASS:DIBELS or mCLASS:IDEL benchmarks to quickly identify at-risk students and to set individualized goals. The ACT feature on the handheld immediately provides recommended reading activities for each student. Progress Monitoring is administered as often as necessary between benchmark assessments to gauge student performance and adjust instruction accordingly. After syncing the handheld device, teachers can view Web-based analysis of their students’ data at www.mclasshome.com. On the Web, teachers receive tools for planning differentiated instruction, while administrators can track progress, review program effectiveness, and determine which resources and strategies will improve student performance. Teachers and reading coaches can also guide student learning with the mCLASS®:Now What? Tools™, which help them create optimal student reading groups, differentiate instruction, and communicate effectively with parents as well as provide tailored instructional activities to do at home.
