Sharon comes to WGEN with over 25 years of experience in Human Resources, organizational development/planning, and related human capital work.
Sharon was SVP, Global Staffing and Diversity at Nielsen (Nielsen Media Research, ACNielsen, Billboard, Adweek, etc.) where she oversaw staffing programs to service all global companies. Prior to her 5 years at Nielsen, she was VP, HR at Healthfirst during an extremely rapid growth phase and put in place all the systems, policies and benefits that supported the companys tremendous growth.
Sharon has also held VP level positions in publishing/media companies -- Cahners (which has substantial K12 education exposure), Penguin, and EMI Records -- and had her first senior level HR experience at ABC broadcasting where, over a 6 year tenure, she held Director-level positions in HR planning, organizational development, benefits administration, employee training, and performance management.
Sharon earned her MBA in Organizational Behavior & HR Management from The Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College in New York.
