mCLASS Assessments and Reporting
mCLASS formative assessments for benchmark and progress monitoring include guided administration and intuitive reporting that make it easy for teachers and administrators to monitor progress of groups and individual students. Software is purchased via per-student licenses and available for use on a growing range of mobile devices.
Burst:Reading Intervention Program
Burst:Reading clearly illustrates analysis so educators understand recommendations for targeted reading intervention. The program provides explicit instruction and a dynamic curriculum with comprehensive scope and systematic sequence. Instructional design develops skills with increasing difficulty until mastery is achieved. Four activities and an application game reinforce two strands of daily instruction within each 10-day plan.
Product Training
The product training program for Burst:Reading is designed to build teacher capacity. Ideally, this would follow a common “see one, do one” model in the class with students, so teachers can quickly learn, through context, how the reading instruction is delivered. Standard training includes:
- One-day on-site session to prepare teachers or interventionists
- Follow-up webinar for teachers or interventionists after 6-10 weeks
- Half-day on-site session to prepare instructional leaders
Technical Training
Technical training for school and district staff helps them install, manage, troubleshoot, and provide ongoing support for the software. Ongoing technical support is available Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST.
We offer on-site and remote installations, depending on your needs.
Fidelity Program
Burst:Reading is the only literacy intervention available with a built-in fidelity program that makes it easy to ensure implementation remains on track. Research indicates that implementing a reading instruction program with fidelity is a major contributor to student achievement.
BurstBase.net
All Burst:Reading users have access to BurstBase.net, the online resource for tools and supplemental materials. Find instructional videos, support materials, and instructional content to help you get the most out of Burst:Reading. In addition, Burst educational support is available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST.
Burst Kit
Smarter instructional materials make it easy to deliver intervention with the three common models: Pull-Out, Push-In, and Walk-To. The Burst Kit was informed by extensive classroom observation and designed for ease of managing and storing materials. Each 10-day burst includes a checklist so teachers can prepare materials for lessons in advance.
