    The University of Texas Health Science Center’s Children’s Learning Institute, under the direction of Developmental Psychologist and Michael Matthew Knight Professor Dr. Susan H. While several programs came together to form the Children’s Learning Institute in 2003, our documented research represents work that started as far back as 1990.

    Wireless Generation worked in collaboration with CLI to create mCLASS®:CIRCLE™, which delivers the CLI assessment suite in handheld-to-web form to Pre-Kindergarten teachers. mCLASS:CIRCLE helps early childhood educators observe and understand a child's ongoing social, emotional, and early literacy development, and to be thoughtful and intentional in planning class, group, and individual activities for 3, 4, and 5 year-olds.

    Additionally, we worked with the Center for Academic and Reading Skills (CARS), now a part of CLI, to bring one of the most researched and validated screening and inventory literacy assessment for K–3, Texas Primary Reading Inventory (TPRI®) onto the mCLASS handheld technology platform (mCLASS:TPRI).

Wireless Generation closely collaborated with Dr. Herbert Ginsburg, Professor at Columbia University’s Teachers College in the ultimate creation and continued development of mCLASS®:Math. As a leading researcher on development of mathematical thinking and assessment of the cognitive function, Dr. Ginsburg has spent the last thirty years talking to students about math and uncovering the various strategies and concepts they use. He is co-author of the Test of Early Mathematics Ability (TEMA), Diagnostic Test of Arithmetic Strategies, and the Big Math for Little Kids early mathematics curriculum.
