Zach Silverstein
SVP & Chief of Staff
As Chief of Staff, Zach Silverstein is the senior aide to the CEO. He oversees the Office of the CEO, interacts with Wireless executives, employees, and others on behalf of the CEO, and advises on company policy, corporate strategy, and internal operations.
Zach was previously a name partner at a Chicago law firm representing primarily colleges and universities, where he served on the firm’s management committee. In addition to counseling and litigating on behalf of clients in areas including student and faculty matters, employment, governance, and investigations, he has published and spoken nationally on student affairs, disability law, sexual harassment, threat assessment, and litigation. Before entering private practice, Zach clerked for a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Zach also has substantial experience in government and politics. He served as Legislative Director to a U.S. Congressman and worked in research positions on a number of nationally significant political campaigns.
Zach has maintained a longtime interest in education and youth. In addition to his legal work on behalf of educational institutions, he studied teacher preparation in college and graduate school, has taught English to non-native speakers, represented juveniles in school and court proceedings, and coached numerous youth sports teams. He graduated from Yale College magna cum laude and from Northwestern University Law School cum laude, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif.
